Sean Feast

Welcome and thanks for coming to my site.

September 4th is now confirmed as the formal launch date for my new book, Churchill’s Navigator, and the venue – appropriately enough – is Chartwell, the PM’s home. It coincides with a major concert to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, during which the subject of my book – Air Commodore John Mitchell – was serving with 58 Squadron, Bomber Command.

I believe this is one of the first times that Chartwell has allowed such a launch to take place, and Grub Street will once again be teaming up with Simon and his team from the Aviation Bookshop so it promises to be a special event. I will have  more detail over the next few days, but understand that it will be an afternoon signing. Do please come along; we would be delighted to see you.

Meantime it is worth mentioning that on Sunday, September 12th, John and I will again be together in Bracknell, this time as guests of Sean Whyte of SWA Fine Art. Sean is holding one of his exceptional ‘In the company of heroes’ events at which John is speaking. He is also launching a magnificent new print of Ascalon on her maiden voyage. The photograph (right) shows John with Philip West’s original oil, and more details on this – and indeed a whole range of magnificent prints and oils – can be found on the SWA website.

Meanwhile, just back from Mexico and actually looking forward to getting back to work!
